Dr. Bessel van der Kolk, author of the groundbreaking book, The Body Keeps the Score: Brain Mind and Body in the Healing of Trauma, recently spoke to a sold out audience of clinicians and community members as part of The Avielle Foundation’s Brainstorm Experience in Newtown, CT: a community that was deeply traumatized in 2012 after the Sandy Hook Elementary School Shooting.
